You can finish every mission with npc monk. Even Thunderkeep.

Then, everyone moves quickly to that side, someone calls targets, you quickly eliminate the enimies, and move back to center to repeat.

Anyways, about your complaining about not finding a group. The average group has 2 monks- that leaves 6 spaces for people who aren't monks. It shouldn't be a problem to find a group.
This worked perfectly for my group when I did it for the first time. Not even one death.

As for having a tough time getting into a group as N/R, get Blood Ritual and advertise that you have and use it. Any group worth its salt will want you.

I finished this quest today with a Ne/Mes. It took a few groups to do it as the first two I got into botched it at the end. That's life though. I find the best strategy is not to do the "LFG" thing at all. Just scan around for open spaces and invite yourself.

It's funny when you get with people that clearly don't regularly party up with the "fringe" classes. They always say things like "man it's so easy" "what a good group!" etc. Ne/Me/Rangers bring ALOT to the table when played well. Don't get discouraged if you can't spam for a group (like a monk can, for instance). The people who are ignoring your "LFG" are either 1) Too inexperienced to know the value of your class or 2) Put off by the spamming.

So give my approach a shot. I think you'll be grouping up in no time.

nobody in your guild would help you? That's kinda lame to be honest.

Nope, I certainly don't. I was just illustrating the problem. Like I said, I have a wamo too. There certainly are more problems than the overabundance of WaMos, like the percieved need for certain classes in a mission, or the perception that someone playing a combination that is out of the ordinary is a NOOB and should not be partied with.

I haven't pug'd with my wamo much, I usually just use him when friends are online, but I really struggled with making him just because of how many there already were, and what the perception of them was. However I think that if/when I do I won't be able to take so much time to find a group so I'll have to be creative with my propositioning. Maybe something like, knockdown hammer warrior damage dealer LFG, or adreanalin axe warrior lfg. Something like that.

Again, continued luck in your attempts.

I'd be happy to help you, along with some of the other people in this thread who pledged their help. Let us know when you'd like to take us up on the offer.

Tonight at Thirsty River:
-Formed a group. The mission didn't start too well, people after people started leaving. Eventually when there were 2 of us left, we decided to go back.
-Formed another group. This time 3 people quit before killing the second sand giant. I ask the others what we should do, but apparently they've gone AFK since they don't move or answer.
-Start venting at the outpost that people are idiots. Some players chime in and I get invited to a group. This time we don't have a primary monk but I'm willing to give it a shot. Again, before reaching the first arena, 3 people quit. Fifty-*bleeping*-percent QUIT! Third time in a row!
-The rest of us form a new team. We get one smartass in the team: "there r no n00bs here right?", looks promising eh? We begin the mission anyway. The smartass moans and whines "these are just scorpions!!!" when someone dies. When we die at the second arena, he goes "oh great, another n00b group, sigh" and quits. Jerk.
-Some of us try one more time with not much luck, return to outpost, I say bye and log out, somewhat pissed off.

Words fail me, how can people be so damn stupid and impatient? After finishing Elona, I'm confident that this mission too would be easy meat without rushers and quitters.

I too play a N/R (mainly blood) and find that I have a harder time getting into a group that knows what they are doing than just finding a group. For some reason I have a knack for finding the group with people who either aggro EVERYTHING and then die, while blaming the monk or have people that stick around long enough to get their skill capture and then just leave. However, I have found that if you help keep the monk's (and elementalist's) energy up with Blood Ritual, they will help keep you alive. I also like to use Well of Blood (haven't gotten Well of Power yet) to help take a little bit of healing pressure off of the monk. (Last night was the first time that someone actually said thanks for the energy. I was floored! )

I've never tried advertising the fact that use Blood Ritual but maybe I'll start just to see what it brings.

DFrost, I've had the same problem in Fissure.

I've grown really disheartened with FoW, with all the people dropping out of your group if you make a single mistake; not before they flame the entire group for being "lame n00bs" of course.

Maybe people take this game too seriously and don't know how to have fun, or maybe I just suck and don't understand the glory of never dying

Leaves you logging off wondering why you bother
